Dayton Elementary School Student of the Month
We will be doing our Student of the Month differently this school year.  We will be rewarding two students from each class for their hard work in the classroom and character they show while at school.  Our first award is call the Bobcat Scholar, this award is given to the student that has worked hard on their homework, class work and has given great effort towards improving academically.  The second award is our Character Award.  There will be a word of the month each month of the school year.  Our word of the month for September is RESPECT.  The child that shows respect in the classroom, on the playground and during the school day will receive this award.  At the end of the month, they will receive a certificate, get their picture taken and displayed in the hallway and receive another special award given by the boosters and principal.
I know some teachers have sent out information regarding student of the month, however, we have been working with our boosters and these are the changes that have been made.  Thank you for your understanding in this matter.  We are very excited to reward students each month for their hard work and exceptional character.
